White Light Rising

Hi — I'm Stu, a one-person studio making small, sharp tools for people who make games and people who make music.

Everything here comes from the same itch: I kept hitting jobs that should take thirty seconds and didn't. So I build the thing that makes it take thirty seconds. No subscriptions, no accounts, no telemetry — just a tool that does its job and gets out of your way.

 I'm a solo developer, so you're talking to the person who wrote the code. If something's broken, if something's missing, or if you've got an idea for a tool you wish existed — tell me. I read everything, and small tools are easy to change.

I use Claude (Anthropic's AI coding assistant) to help write code for these projects. I want to be upfront about that rather than leave you guessing.

To be clear about what that means: I design the tools, I make the decisions, I test everything that ships, and I'm responsible for all of it.

Claude is a tool I use the way I use a compiler or a debugger — it speeds up the writing, it doesn't do the thinking. Every feature here exists because I wanted it to, and every bug here is mine.
